I know seeing a psychologist for the first time can be a daunting experience. The first appointment is a chance to understand what has brought you to therapy and see if we would be a good fit to work together.
The process of developing a shared understanding of your concerns may take place over a few sessions, however this depends on complexity of concerns.
-
This depends on your individual circumstances and what you would like to focus on in therapy.
Some people seek therapy for a specific concern (such as a driving phobia), which can often be addressed through shorter-term therapy. Others may be seeking support with long-standing concerns, relationships, or patterns that have developed over time and may benefit from longer-term therapy where change can unfold gradually.
Therapy may range from 6–10 sessions to longer-term work over a number of months or years, depending on your goals and needs. -
I do not provide medico-legal, family court, or insurance reports. I also do not work with couples.
